The Fitness Center at HealthWorks is dedicated to making sure our members are getting the workouts and plans necessary to meet their goals. With 41 pieces of the latest cardio equipment, three areas for strength training, and our new functional training area, every aspect of your fitness goals can be met.

Before we take you through a workout we want to get to know you. Upon joining and periodically thereafter, members have the opportunity to meet with an Assessor to make sure they are on track with their fitness and wellness goals. Becoming your personal best is of utmost importance at HealthWorks. The Assessor does a baseline assessment and gives recommendations specific to your goals, health, abilities and/or limitations.

Assessments in the fitness center are in a comfortable private setting. We want to take this time to get to know the member, their health history, and help them with any concerns they might have about working out in a fitness environment. This is also the member’s time to take advantage of our computerized Polar Body Age System (PBAS). Polar Body Age has the capability of determining your present body age according to blood pressure, weight, body fat, and lean body mass. The member receives a printout of the recommended goals for all three, the amount of time estimated to reach your goal and the actual age your body will be after reaching those goals. After answering lifestyle questions, PBAS also issues a meal plan based on the Exchange System as well as the amount of exercise needed to reach goals in the amount of time determined.

Personal Training at HealthWorks:  Personal Training at HealthWorks Fitness Center is the fastest way to reach your goals. At HealthWorks, our certified personal trainers provide guidance and inspiration with customized programs based on your goals. Whether you want to lose weight and keep it off, build lean muscle, or just look and feel better in the clothes you're in, your Personal Trainer will take the guesswork out of how to get there. We have several options to choose from when considering your fitness program.

One-on-One Custom Built Training Programs:  After being assigned a personal trainer who best fits your needs and schedule, the certified personnel will assess your initial fitness status and health history as well as guide you in developing goals in order to customize a training program. Once assessments have been made, and goals have been determined, your trainer will guide and encourage you through your workouts.

Semi-Private Training: with this option one of our certified personal trainers will guide you and up to two other members through your workout, in a small group atmosphere. This is a cost effective way to get personal training and workout with others while reaching your fitness goals.

Our personal trainers are certified through one or more of the following Nationally Accredited Certifying Agencies: American Council on Exercise (ACE), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and/or International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
